Why I want to meet adaptable
He’s from my country! I’d lived abroad and know how important is to keep in touch with your roots.

“Into Thin Air” is quite simply the most interesting and exciting book I’ve ever read, and I would absolutely love to ask John a lot of questions about it. I think I read it from cover to cover in the space of 8 hours. I particularily enjoyed the mountaineering historical elements, which give this book a lot more substance than an attempt at a movie rendition ever would. This book is also a fasinating study on what drives people in the face of mortal danager and/or ultimate triumph.
He invented story telling rock and roll. I wasn’t a huge fan until I saw the “No Direction Home” documentary on PBS. After seeing it, I realized how much of a important historical figure he is, especially in the kind of music I make.
I also saw a documentary about Jimmy Hendrix were Jimmy said that he was not inspired to sing/write songs until he heard Bob Dylan. Now I know exactly what Jimmy was talking about!
She is an enduring artist who constantly produces music that I admire. When I first saw the video for “All I Want to Do” in 1992 I said to my roommate, “She is going to be huge.” And I was right! I picked up “Wildflower” a few of weeks ago, and I am amazed how she has continued to reinvent herself. As a musician/producer, I am inspired by her songwriting skill, musicianship, and production quality.
Her self title album “Sheryl Crow” is on my all time top 5. It was the soundtrack for my late 20s.
Unfortunetely I have not seen her live (other than the DVDs and Austin City Limits videos). She just played at the Greek in Berkeley a few weeks ago, but I could not make it.
Hopefully someday in my travels I will get to meet her.
